You are funny! Fastest car is not enough to win the wdc. You also need a car that can finish races! How many times did mclaren shoot themselves on the foot? Nobody could win a wdc with a car with that much relability problems. Mclaren were pathetic in the last 3 years and even earlier too. They did the same with kimi.

Really? Now that Hamilton is at Merc Alonso will have a chance? LOL

You've got to be kidding!

Please tell me when in the last 3 years Hamilton finished in front of Alonso, let alone won the WDC?

OK, so in 2012 without car failures he might have, but what about 2011 and 2010 when the McLaren was faster than the Ferrari?

Button didn't have any problems dispatching Alonso in 2011, so what happened to the worlds greatest driver?

You dont get it dont you? Faster car is not enough! Reliability, flawless teamwork and strategy are just as important. Mclaren is the worst team ever in this regard. They did the same to Kim as to Lewis. They had a fast car but sh*t team, sh*t pitstops, broken car, bad strategy, horrible team management etc. You can name it! No wonder Raikkonen and Hamilton jumped ship. What happend when Kimi had enough and moved to Ferrari. He became WDC! Sorry but Mclaren is joke. Ferrari were a million times better last year.

I dont want to take away anything from Alonso he is a brilliant driver but i dont like stupid haters bragging about Lewis had the fastest car blablabla and he still cant finish high enough. Look at the overall picture ffs!

2011 was the only year when LH performed bad since he entered F1. That was a messy year indeed. You are right about that. But take a look at any other season specially last year. He didnt make 1 single mistake all year and he extracted the absolute m

He extracted the absolute maximum out of his car.

Ferrari started off last season with a bad car according to its performance, but managed improve it massively.

And with them starting off the season with a more competitive, its natural that they are better off and hopefully we will see a competitive season this year.

Go Alonso, He will be tough to beat if he gets his hands on a fast car. Lets see...

Ah, so that's why he didn't win in 2012 - he wasn't MOTIVATED enough. Now that he's more motivated it will be easy peasy.

"I also need a better car than last year because we were too far from the leaders"

The average starting position for Alonso last year was 6.1. That's not good, admittedly, but the average starting position of Vettel was 5.1. I don't think starting an average of just a single place further down the grid than Vettel was an insurmountable task.
