Well, he DOES have to get past Nico Rosberg before he can win a race. They are in the same car, and there will be no Ron Dennis favoritism. Nico was able to keep a 7 time world champion at bay, so why couldn't he this guy? This talk by Coulthard is more disrespect to Nico. Nico's sweet revenge will start at the first race. Will Nico be making 20m per year like they're paying Hamilton when Nico smokes "The New Messiah in F1?"

Jenson Button said that Hamilton can make a bad car much better, kinda like Alonzo. I agree with George Zaiden's view that Lew will win some races with just raw talent but the Mercedes is not a championship car. They have a way to go before they can even approach Lotus let alone Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari. Lew's got mad skills when his head is screwed on right so I expect a few trips to the top of the podium. As far as Nico goes, he couldn't carry Lewis's lunch.

Well they won a race last year which to me is a bigger indicator that Lewis may win this year than anything else...

They should have everything in place to win races, but I'm still not convinced that the aero department is all that great in Brackley...Except for the Brawn car they pretty much made a bunch of dogs in their BAR and Honda days

Thats what I've been trying to say for years! Why haven't any of these "experts" like DC said something like "Nico might have a shot at the title?" Can anyone show me some evidence that Hamilton is a better driver than Nico Rosberg? To be fair, we already know that Hamilton and Alonso are about equal since Lulu gave Alonso a drumming in the same car in 2007, and Lulu was a rookie. But why all the hype about Lulu in his new Mercedes, when Nico showed what a superb driver he is and gets NOTHING in return? Its gonna be funnier when Nico get the better of Lulu. That is better proof than if the new mexican in the McLaren beats Lulu this year. Keep your eye on Nico!

My opinion lewis is a much better racer than nico its now all down to the car its already shown to have speed and mechanical grip but have they fixed tyre deg and also have they found more down force if they have then don,t count out lewis to battle with the other top racers alonso ,seb, kimi, and on some tracks jenson

kiwibob. it is far too soon to say that merc have solved their tyre degradation. the prelli graphs do show that there was considerable falling off of the tyres, and this was on a cold track. what happens when they get on to a hot track? who knows, not even merc.
yeah, lulu might score a win or too, and possibly a pole as well, but i doubt that they will be consistent enough to have a big impact.
but all the five top teams will all be very close in times.
