My issue is with the way people are treating Nico Rosberg. Noone has had anything good to say about Nico. everything is all about Hamilton. This, even though it was Nico who compared favorably to the seven-time world champion Michael S. Nico is the only man to give Merc a win since they came back 3 seasons ago. He is obviously an excellent driver. But it is only Hamilton, the spoiled brat, that people in F1 are bragging about. Its not fair to Nico, but like someone said, he will keep quiet and in Melbourne he will lay down the gauntlet for everyone's hero, the spoiled mouthy brat Hamilton.

Lewis should win a few races. If the car is reliable he might even have an outside shot at the title. However, Nico in equal machinery will be tough to beat consistently throughout the season.

It should be a very close season with 3 or 4 teams in contention so it should be good for spectators :)

Is everyone suggesting that Nico is better than a 7 times WC. If so the Merc must have been a real dog for them not to succeed. Or could it be that MS just wasn't as quick as he used to be and so Nico finished on top (MS had a few moments in 2012 that were down right embarrasing, but no-one talks about those). One thing we do know is that Lewis was faster than Alonso in the same car, when Alonso was on his game. Given a good car I expect Lewis to challenge at the top. From there who goes WC will be somewhat in the hands of the gods of luck. Lastly if Merc we not working on tyre deg in the last third of 2012 and if they havent solved it, then I don't see Ross Brawn being at Merc in 2014. Bring on Melbourne .

Yet another person stating the bloody obvious! Hamilton would win in any competitive car as he is the fastest guy on the track. The problems start when he does'nt have the fastest car. His career is littered with unesscessary collisions and accidents caused by him thinking that he can drive around any problems. He takes risks when they are not really worth it. He may say he's a racer and will always try and win but the best drivers have a rather more mature view of things. In addition he has a team mate in Rosberg who will push him to the limit and I can see Hamilton getting very frustrated if things don't go well. He needs to stay calm take the rough with the smooth and gather points as well as wins rather than throwing it into the barriers because he's in sixth place rather than the lead. You can't win them all however good you are and he has to realise that and drive with some more maturity. Hopefully Ross Brawn can instill some and we will see the results come.

So frustrating that no-one during an interview offers any insight or predictions at all going into the first race - why bother saying 'oh we don't know about fuel and tyres etc etc' just say you don't know or have a guess based on your instinct! We don't care if you're wrong but dont want to listen or read the few lines about how we'll really know when we get to qualy in Melbourne, we already know that!

@Firestorm

When will you Hamilton fanboys stop claiming that Hamilton was robbed of victory in Brazil???

When Hulk hit Hamilton, he was in SECOND place. Hulk was in the process of OVERTAKING Hamilton because he was too slow. Hulk's rear wheel hit Hamilton's front wheel. How exactly would that happen if Hamilton was in front?

The only thing that robbed Hamilton of a race victory in Brazil was his inability to drive on a greasy wet track.

Even if they didn't collide, it wouldn't have been very long before Button go back past Hamilton either.

Hamilton is fast, there's no doubt about it, but I would LOVE Rosberg to do a number on him like Button did!

Nothing against Hamilton, I would just LOVE to see it happen to stick it up Hamilton's deluded fans!

But it won't matter what happens. Rosberg could smash him by 100 points and all the Hamfans would be giving us some lame excuse about girlfriend problems, or maybe Hamilton will have a falling out with his dog and that will distract him.

But most likely it will be that Merc favour Rosberg and everyone is picking on Hamilton.

NEVER will they concede that Rosberg or any other driver is just better than Hamilton - OH NO!

bob. do you really believe that merc would favour nico over lulu? when lulu is being paid 10 times what nico is being paid, merc will definitely give max support to lulu. after all, they wont want to find that they have wasted 18m per year, will they?

dave. do you not understand plain english? where have i put lulu down? i was responding to another post with a sensible answer.

do you think that merc would support nico over lulu? if they did, why would they sign lulu at 10 times the cost?
one driver costs you 2m, the other 20m, so of course lulu will have the MOST support.
