Button is of course stating the bloody obvious as usual. McClaren have been a shambles over the past few years with a raft of problems, they have now lost there fastest driver and technical director so I expect them to struggle from day one, if and when McClaren manage to develop their car Red Bull and Ferrari and possibly Mercedes and Lotus will be long gone, in addition Button is only fast enough to challenge the top guys when he has a distinct car advantage and that does not happen at McClaren these days. I hope I'm wrong but I forsee another poor season for McClaren with Button finishing in 5th or sixth place.

@oldtimer

So McLaren have now lost their fastest driver and Button can only hope to finish 5th or 6th?

As opposed to their 'fastest' driver who has finished a 'lofty' highest of 4th in the last 4 years!

haha

Get a grip mate!

@oldtimer

Can you answer me this -

Which McLaren driver of the last 3 years has finished highest in the championship over all?

Hint - It's not Hamilton.

Let me know if you need any more help with this one.

Bob - obviously as you prefer to skew stats to fit your needs, I will need to enlighten you.

3 Years when the 2 were paired at Mclaren

Most points scored - Button
Highest WDC postion - Hamilton 2 Button 1
Wins - Ham 10 Button 8
Poles - Ham 9 Button 1

The only stat that people like you cling on to in desperation to slate Hamilton is the points scored over the three years, which, had Hamilton not had the issues last year with reliability and team mistakes, would have meant several more wins in his favour and a big gap in overall points scored.

Only a blind man or a blindfolded hater would see it differently.
