Mark Webber has said that he has been aware of 'vultures' waiting to pounce on his Red Bull ride for some time, but is not ready to give it up.

Well, Nigel Mansell was 39 when he won his title, jack Brabham was 40 and Fangio was in his 40's when he started his F1 racing career. Of course, you can't compare like for like but these days, the drivers are so fit, they can continue far longer than they did even 20 years ago. Also, the sport is a lot less dangerous than it once was so the mental side doesn't take it's toll as it once did.

I hope you stick round for a while yet Mark. You almost made it in 2010. Let's see some more of those banzai moves again, such as on Alonso into Eau Rouge.

Stop looking for a needle in the haystack Richard.

Sebs ability is acknowledged.

Did Marko say what Rob posted or not?

A Yes or No will suffice.

P.S. Hope all is well. Long time no speak. The run up to the G.P.is well underway downhere. Looking forward to it.together with the season

Mark is a top bloke and a very good driver, however Seb seems to get the better of him when the car suits him. Mark did start last year better as he has got experience driving crap cars as Seb seems to need perfect set ups (just my opinion). Though Mark may not have been well supported by some factions of his team.

commodore. i would ask you the same question about didi! his comments were reported a couple of days ago. he confirmed the fact that mark was given equal status in the team, (despite what some continually claim), and also stated that seb was ahead of mark. now, he is not saying that mark would be TREATED as a number 2, but saying that mark has a way to go to catch up on seb.
now if that does not show a pecking order, i dont know what does!

He drives against a three time champ. How in the world can any one expect Webber to be anything but a TWO.he is in the same car as vettel and can't even stay ahead of the other drivers. Look at his win totals in a car that has won both titles for three years. It is SAD compared to Seb.

"Although he headed Vettel for much of the 2012 campaign ..."

Who gets paid to write this drivel? Webber was ahead of Vettel in the standings for just five races - Malaysia,China, and later the British, German, and Hungrian GP's. "Much of the campaign"? Seriously?

And the only reason he led after THOSE five races was due a puncture and an alternator failure for Vettel, not Webber's fantastic driving skills.
