Vodaphone joining and then leaving Mclaren as a title sponsor has nothing to do with Lewis leaving, if anything Mclaren signing Alonso probably got them interested in the first place then the fireworks and attention the team got brought the Vodaphone name and logo into a lot of eyeballs,

when a team takes on a title sponsor contracts will in all likely hood will carry a minimum period before either can end the deal that was probably three years at which point they would have extended the deal

Vodaphone is going through a changing time with the introduction of LTE in may important markets like australia, europe america (I think they are Verizon in the states) so ending expensive sponsorship deals and saving money where they can is good business.

I cant see Mclaren changing the livery of their cars anytime soon, the chrome and red was a development of the older West tobacco sponsor, and personally I much prefer the chrome to the older red and white that made up the livery of the tobac

The bigger problem for McLaren is now that its rumored that they are talking with Honda, Merc will not be sharing info on the new engine. They could be left in the cold with true technical knowledge by Merc and its new V6.
