F1 » Button worried by lack of McLaren pace

Jenson Button might have won last year's Australian GP, but on Friday he couldn't even crack the top ten at the end of free practice.

@Dork Vader

"Ok over the past 10 years buttons win ratio is below 6%
whilst hamiltons is at 40%+

Few things -

1. Button's win ratio is 6.57%
2. Hamilton's win ratio is over 40%? Really? So seeing as he has started 110 races that means he has won over 44 races. Really? Who knew. I thought he'd only won 21 races, giving him a win ratio of 19%, but hey, that's just me and what do I know. Obviously maths is your strong point, not mine.

The Whitmarsh and Button Boy Club is now in full swing and doomed to failure. Good on LH for getting the hell outta there......

Oh what a coincidence too..... The bias Button Boys at the BEEB are also allowing LH to have his column on their website pre-race - Finally the BEEBs admission of LHs talent and having...... or maybe is it because they no one to bash against blue eyed Button (I have understeer, oversteer) Boy this season.

The 2013 Mclaren looks like a throw back of the Peugoet 205, in 1995...... What a load of rubbish, Or maybe Merc are selling them broken lawnmover engines???

@Dork Vader

If you want to talk percentages, then let's.

Based on races started, Vettel blows Hamilton away. 25.74% win ratio. And I'm sure you're not going to tell me that it doesn't count because Vettel was driving a better car than Hamilton. After all, you didn't afford Jenson the same courtesy.

But I think I will.

If you only count the races JB, LH and SV were driving front running cars, the stats look a little different.

Button - 20% win ratio
Hamilton - 19% win ratio
Vettel - 34.6% win ratio

So Vettel blows them both into the weeds, but look who comes in with the lowest win percentage.

FAIL!

"Button is rubbish!!! his WDC required him to have an advantage of over 2seconds"

Come on then genius, please enlighten us all at which race in 2009 was the Brawn 2 seconds quicker than the next fastest car? Or even 1 second quicker for that matter.

Come on, I'm waiting...

The type of comments on this thread says VOLUMES about the intelligence of Lewis Hamilton fans...

Ghog, as is usually the case with you, you tend to enter the fray without any inclination of thinking prior to writing your dribble. If you think my language is quirky then obviously you require greater assistance than is available to you. Besides judging by the history of your past posts they always tend to be of a nonsensical nature. We've never had an exchange of views (quite frankly I hope we never do) but you seem to dive in head first on all your commentary. Think before you write mate.
