F1 » Sobering start confirms McLaren woes

Considering Jenson Button won last year's Australian GP, watching him struggle to finish in the points in 2013 was a chastening experience for McLaren.

Disagree that team did their best. Drivers may have done their best but two bad decisions by the team for Perez robbed him of chance of any points. Firstly in qualifying - putting him back out on a second set of super softs when it was clear the track was still too wet and then putting him on to a second set of super softs in the race when it was clear to everyone else that the harder compound was the better option. This has been happening season after season now and it is well past time they had someone on the pit wall that knows what they are doing. The cars are clearly not quick enough without having to constantly deal with team bad calls!

geepee. dennis has said that they COULD have kept lulu, but that he didnt want to stay there. lulu was in fact happier to take gardening leave.

things were not rosy. dennis was fed up with lulu and lulu was fed up with dennis. but at the ed of the day, it was lulu who made the first moves, in early 2012.

anyway, its all done and dusted , so just live with the curet line-up and dont bemoan the departure of lulu. he will never be back there.
