Fernando Alonso believes this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix can be a better guide to performance than the F1 season-opener in Australia.

With a car as Ferrari seems to have this year, related to the rival ones, which are slightly a 2012 update at best (see Maccas for instance), I wouldn't bet against Fernando, even with the Bulls tyre problems sorted out.And I do no not dismiss Lotus and all the other frontrunners.

With rain predicted in race day I doubt that this race will be the benchmark of the real pace of the cars. It could turn into a lottery, it could be everyone race. However Alonso should be well prepared for these conditions and he must ensure that he finishes ahead of Vettel at least.
