So Holly what exactly is your racing experience? I suspect that if pales in comparison to Richard's. In any case everyone is entitled to their opinion and claiming that ones opinion is more valid because they may have raced as some level is bunk. If you are truly objective you will see that so far Hamilton has done about as well as Jacques Villenueve.

Why all this talk about Lulu? All the while Sebastian Vettel is rewriting ALL the records and History Books. Lulu is on the downward slide in his F1 career. 5th in the last race sums up his career. A series of "5ths" in the drivers championship and then a fade into "David Coulthard" oblivion. His stint in the fastest car on the grid (with help from stolen Ferrari blueprints) Allowed him to snatch one title. To be fair he did show Alonso how to drive, with a little "Ron Dennis" help. And then a fade away.

holly (or should i say rgt?) you really have it bad!

marketc. having a father who won a wdc through consistency (only one actual race win that year), has absoluetly no bearing on the capabilities of a son/daughter.
nico was snatched up by merc, macca already had their drivers. and if memory serves me right, i believe that nico WAS in the frame at some point for macca

My meaning was. ..If he had a divine driving talent, coming from an extremely wealthy family with lots of f1 contacts he would of hit the ground running a lot sooner than Lewis..why did McLaren see fit investing 15 million in Lewis's development then demote Fernando to 2nd driver. ..surely they know better than you, Dickie?

@holly - I have raced off road motorcycles but like I said I don't think that racing experience gives you more credibility. This stuff is pretty easy to understand and there is plenty of information available in this day and age. Even an "armchair" racer can have a perfectly valid opinion.

Holly, it doesn't matter what you say or how strong your points are, you will never get some of these so called experts to recognise that Lewis is a great driver. After all, Alonso has consistently said he sees Lewis as the best driver, I think he knows more than Richard, Bob and the rest of the blinkered brigade

gilles. i dont know about others, but i certainly do not rate lulu as a "great" driver.....a good driver yeah, but he has done nothing to be considered a great. now, the person whose name you have besmirched by using it as a penname, WAS a great drive.r
