OMG - Rons Golden Troll, have you ever been So busy!

Now a Zombie? There is now a whole tribe of complete rgt numpty's to digest on Crash.net.

So, is there now absolutley no chance of a sensible conversation on here?

(Go for it RGT's, vote NO NOW! (this could take a while for ron to adapt his typing style to the characters he or she has invented))

PS - can't wait for a slice of reality with pure F1 quali & racing this weekend......I really love Grand Prix!

Really ****ie. ...you wanna make your mind up. .going on your analogy of Lewis the great G Villeneuve should come right down your list (points podiums and wdc are the be all and end all) of what you perceive makes a great driver's. .talk about being contrary..nothing inflammatory here :) just an observation.

Talking of Gilles you obviously think it's a coincidence that his son and for that matter Graham's son Damon both became f1 world champions....possibly Nico could be next.

This was fun to read. Richard, bob, agree with your posts, but I think Hamilton is one of the most naturally gifted drivers of his generation. But like you said, the lack of consistency has cost him. He is cast and at ont point he was 'mr overtaking' but if was to be considered a great, as he do desperately wishes. He should have won the title in 2010. That's when the cracks appeared to me. And it was his own self-inflicted DNFs which were key. The following was even worse, seemed completely to lose his mojo!

At least Hamilton finishing behind Rosberg has allowed a little respite in the Button bashing, which is off the scale on this site. Lewis' entry into F1 was petty spectacular, unsettling a two time WDC and causing him to throw his toys out of the pram. But the fact that he couldn't unsettle Button, at all, must be one of the reasons he gets such a hard time from the loopy lulu brigade. I think it just pisses them off!!

Definitely missing Ben's contributions tonight.

Jenson, in an interview last Saturday after Q2 and 3 were cancelled until the following morning was asked his thoughts. .'a shame really, I normally take coffee on the beach before the race'
He certainly knows how to endear himself.

richard Ok so you think Gilles was a great driver having won only 5 gp's and being beaten by his team mate Sheckter in 1979 to the championship through consistency rather than speed So is Sheckter a better driver than Gilles then? This seems to be your logic with Button and Hamilton.
Gilles was a similar driver to Hamilton, exciting, daring, risk taker great qualifier but he did make a lot of mistakes that caused retirements But he is a great and Hamilton is not?

rgt. it seems that your knowledge of f1 is non existent (pre lulu). funny how most genuine f1 pundits and fans, do accept that gilles was a great driver.
winning a wdc or even races is not a prerequisite to becoming a great driver. it is ABILITY and fire.
gilles did get incensed at a breach of trust, but he didnt constantly breach rules or drive others off the track, or lie, etc etc.
