Sebastian Vettel timed his run just right to claim pole position in a wet-dry qualifying session at Sepang.

The Newey factor had very little to do with qualifying fastest on a wet track. Reasonable observers will acknowledge this as a good driver performance in terms of both the driving skill displayed in the wet and the late tyre change strategy.

Lewis at it again by out qualifying his teammate again who destroyed the 7xwdc. I am now more convinced than ever that Lewis would be quicker than any driver in the same car.

Respect to Red Bull for giving their drivers a top car which only one of them is using to its full potential. And well done Massa for finishing in front of Alonso again lets just see how long you an last in the race before Ferrari stitch you up again.

@Drudge
Do you really believe that Massa will be faster than Alonso in race day?! Common he outqualifyed Alonso in Melbourne too but finished some 20 sec behind his team-mate in the race. The difference between them is that Massa can't perform for many consecutive laps as Alonso do. If Massa is ahead he is unable to put a big gap to Alonso. On the other hand, Alonso can pull a big gap to his team-mate. Anyway I am happy to see Massa on top form. This is very important for Ferrari in the constructors championship. I expect Massa to challenge Vettel at the first corner tomorrow. If he manages to get ahead of Vettel at the start maybe he can end his drought.

Another pole for Vettel, nothing for Hamilton. Rosberg was held up by Kimi in Q3 or he would have destroyed Ham today. Vettel too fast and smart.

Hamilton wouldnt have a single WDC yet if Vettel was his teammate. He should thank his lucky stars that he had Heiki with no updates as teammate and Massa as main rival in 2008.

107, its called the Adrian Newey factor which Alonso has also been a victim of as he has not won a wdc while the Red Bull cars have been in the hands of Vettel.

@Drudge Alonso quialified worse than Massa in Melbourne, he started last race behind Vettel and Massa, he stayed right behind them for a few laps, then he stopped and as soon as he had free track he passed both of them and then he got away quite comfortably, so please explain how you get to the conclusion that Massa is faster than him and based in the last years result, how you think Massa could do better than Alonso.

Yeah, tough for Massa, but please don't be ridiculous just because Massa qualified better, because it means nothing.

"its called the Adrian Newey factor which Alonso has also been a victim of as he has not won a wdc while the Red Bull cars have been in the hands of Vettel"

Then shouldn't that be called the "Vettel Factor"? Alonso won two WDC's against Adrian Newey cars before Vettel came along.

These one eyed Lulu fanatics will side with the devil where and when needed when it in anyway effects their perceived believe that he is supposed to be the second coming to earth of F1 racing, just about everybody and his dog was at any one time either attacked or prised depending on their perceived need,
