F1 » Vettel: I messed up, I'm sorry

Sebastian Vettel: I owe an explanation to Mark and to the team and that's it. Everyone else obviously has the right to have their own opinions but for sure it is not a victory that I'm very proud of because it should have been Mark's.

if you ask me, they should cut the radio lines for the race., such thing would not had happen ., and let the fastest man win!!!
so nico did listen to team orders (i respect lewis) and lewis ended up on the podium even he tought that was unfair!!!!., if somebody clamis that is racing so what is the point? Seb did the write thing he is a god dam racer not a radio control driver :)

Taipan, You know better than what you state in your last post. Of course we all would prefer no team orders. However, they exist and in this instance Mark followed them, faithfully turning down the power to conserve engine and tires. Remember last weekend? RBR had cause for concern. He had gapped Seb until the orders came in and would have very likely won the race on pace. Seb took advantage of not obeying team orders to win the race, and brought the wrath of everyone including Horner and Newey down upon him. Thinking back, Pironi would never have been in a position to pass Villeneuve without disobeying team orders. If orders exist then drivers must follow them. The results of not doing so can be catastrophic.

I think we're going to realy see how good Vettel without support from Webberis if he is no longer going to play the team game, I mean, why should he after all?

It will be interesting to see if the 2013 Sepang Soap Opera continues in Shanghai...

Webber will be back and so will Vettel, but I don't think Vettel will be disobeying orders in the future.

I also hope Brawn learned his lesson- two drivers who DO (so far) seem to want to race fairly, on even footing so let them.

Spare the apologies Sep. Mark, suck it up buttercup, you got beat by a faster driver mate, I'm sure your finger was quick to the mode switch when you saw him coming. Can someone at the FIA please extricate this BS that is team orders? Dare we speak of Rosberg's castration? This could have been one of the best ever races, on its face it was fantastic entertainment, but then we have to attend a wake for a podium? Sacrilege, absolute SACRILEGE. Here we finally see the fruits of Bernie sucking a whole Ferrari monocoque....

Fish fingers, you ask a good question, what will RBR do? 20 days until the next race and lots of "closed door" discussions for sure. Personally, I think RBR actions will be dictated by what they think Seb is doing for the next or following year. I still think he may have a Ferrari option in his pocket and if so, his life at RBR will prove difficult. Otherwise, he is the three time champ and the team will do much to patch things up.

He's shown his true colours. Whilst I've never been a vettel fan this does stoop rather low. Imagine if it was the other way round - webber wouldn't be driving the next GP. Rosberg accepted it (begrudgingly) with Hamilton.

It's no different than having a girlfriend and going out with mates with a promise that you won't cheat on her. You do, she finds out and you expect 'sorry' to make it all better - come on!!

Horner is no better - basically saying that its ok for drivers to ignore team orders cos their racing drivers. I'm no fan of team orders but what applies to one driver must apply to the other.

Cold and calculated springs to mind.
