F1 » Vettel: I messed up, I'm sorry

Sebastian Vettel: I owe an explanation to Mark and to the team and that's it. Everyone else obviously has the right to have their own opinions but for sure it is not a victory that I'm very proud of because it should have been Mark's.

He didn't feel sorry, made an annoucement couse the team made him to. Sad.
There should be two different teams within the main one.
How much time will it take to make changes.
F1 has nothing in common with sport.

I thought they were supposed to be racing.its only race 2and already team orders come into play.i thought red bull were all for their drivers racing each other as long as they don't take each other off.what about spectators paying good money to attend a GP and to have the race pre determined by the pit wall is not on!

Shame there isnt a way for Seb to show just how sorry he is & give the position back to Mark. Would he though is the big question. Schuey Junior for sure.
Trent go away & play somewhere else where facts obviously dont count as you cannot get anything you say right. Making no sense!!

Vettel owes nobody an apology. At least not to threaders here ho**** from years of decrying team orders! My view: In every race, let the better driver win. How can anyone sympathize with Nico Rosberg (at that point the clearly faster driver) and yet demonize Seb? The only thing we should be embarassed about is that in a race in which TEAM ORDERS were so OBVIOUS, Race Direction is doing nothing against these thrill spoliers. Instead, the only racing hero of the day is forced to apologize. What a shame!

Vettels behaviour was so unsportsman like and so selfish on his behalf, I use to admire him for his driving skills but now I consider him to be a danger to all other drivers as it seems like he will do anything to win a race, wish Mark had belted Web in the mouth whilst on the podium, I even would have paid Marks fine had he done so.

@ Trent

What is it with you?

Seb admits he was wrong.

The Team say he was wrong which I suggest would include Marko who is Marks strongest critic..

And you say he was right.

I don't get it.

And by the way lay off the Auzzie bashing. It serves no purpose

Hey, this is not a story that debates the merits of team orders. I don't particularly like them either. However, the orders were given, they were clear, and he broke them. He would not have been in a position to pass had Mark not followed the orders to turn the engine down to conserve fuel and engine wear. I have never seen Horner or Newey as visibly upset as today. I think Seb may have caused irreparable long term damage to his status in the team. F1 history has several examples of top drivers coming in conflict with team management. Management always wins.

Vettel knew exactly what the team orders were and did eactly what he did knowing that Mark had slowed the pace and was vulnerable to his greedy need to stand on the top podium., Shame on you Vettel ! You better find a way to make this up to your team mate asap.
