Nico Rosberg: Of course, it was disappointing for me having to hold position but I understand the team's decision to safeguard our positions...

If Lewis was really un satifisfied with his podium, then why did he not radio the team and swap the positions and let Nico past. and still bring the cars home. Nico was quicker at the end of the race, which in contrast is different to Red Bull as Webber had turned his engine mapping down etc. Lewis should of let Nico past and both coaxed home to the finish. Clearly there is a status at the team, and they believe that Lewis has the best chance of title possible aspirations (which is understandable with the wins and podiums Lewis has had compared to Nico)

I still don't know why they held Rosberg back. Hamilton could have easily let him past, and Merc would still have gotten a 3-4 finish, but just in the correct order, and at no extra cost on fuel. Why protect Hamilton's place?

You cant hide the fact that Rosberg can more than match lululu. Lewis used more power at the start whereasRosberg didnt.Yet Lewis couldn't pull away. Now it was Rosbergs turn to use abit more fuel towards the end as he HAD saved it at the start. Lewis would have proberly been 10secs slower on overal pace had he not geld nico up. im just thinking it shows how good Schumacher was and also how dam good Rosberg is

What is the difference between F1 racing and anybody that racing his car against another the object is to win.So it have me puzzle that ppl here believe a team have the right to stop the faster driver from winning team orders like any other law should and always will be broken rico this is the begining for you remember a guy called ruben that was jenson team mate you will suffer that same fate if merc don,t fire ross brawn so hang in there my friend.

ty. who doesnt know how to spell?

it would appear that the reason for the instruction to hold station, was a commercial one.
petronas are a major sponsor and their money would have been spent on paying for lulu. so he was allowed to be on the podium.
but in reality, there is novalid reason why nico could not have been allowed through, and who knows, he might have caught up on webber?

daimler ag are said to be up in arms about it. expect more fireworks.

Ross browns word
"lewis pace is what we are asking him to do please be in control as well"
so why are you lot trying to crucify lewis.
he was short fuel before that he was ahead of rosberg

Braun's logic is broken. Hamilton didn't have fuel left to race with. Rosberg, through no fault of his own, did. He could have passed Lewis with ease, without endangering either driver or their cars. The rationale Merc is trying to spin is a Crock-o-shit!

good point dario. why not let rosbeg pass hamilton and then consolidate? same thing with redbull, they could have just told webber to let vettel pass. shows us that the reason for the team order (at least at redbull) was only to make sure both cars would finish. i am glad they didn't make the drivers swap position first, in a way it is almost like they did not issue team orders at all.
