Nico Rosberg: Of course, it was disappointing for me having to hold position but I understand the team's decision to safeguard our positions...

@ P1Ham . And the reason that Rosberg had no points was that his Mercedes let him downing Australia. In the interests of team fairness and we are told it's all about the team, it would not have been unreasonable to have let the faster Rosberg through. I wonder what might have happened were this situation reversed would the team then have thought they owed Lewis something.
What next, if Lewis retires during a race will they also retire Rosberg.
Ultimately it's the current system that's screwed with the need to save this & that which is preventing proper racing.

richard...had vettel listened to his team it would have went a long way to helping his own cause. The same reason i think Horner and the boys did it to begin with. If Seb gave up something at the first of the year maybe it would be easier to get Marks help when Seb needs it. Now the whole team is in dis array because Vettel f'd up. Then tried to cover it with a lie. Vettel only realize his mistake when the whole team had its head down. Up to that point he was still giddy. Silly boy

Why did they wait for Lulu to "DRS" Nico and THEN give the order for Nico to stand down?
They have to have Hamilton outscoring Nico because they sold Hamilton to the board of directors at Mercedes as a Messiah worth the 3-times as much they are paying Nico.
If I were Nico I would do like Vettel and quit playing these stupid team order games. Nico and Seb should be racing together anyway on the same team. And I mean RACING. Not this Ferrari inspired team order BS.

well the problem i had with the orders was brawn saying hammy is on his orders and that to rosberg he is doing the same he can go faster ! eh
no hammy can not go faster can he else he would not finnisht he race ! lol

rosberg robbed of points which he so desevres he kept his fuel and speed to finnish good not hang about behind hammy, which hammy was very slow at the end.
wrong call by the team and my respect for the mercedes team has now gone.
but for rosberg he deserves much more credit.

To all you one-eyed Hamilton haters, here the facts: Rosberg did pass Lewis but was re-passed by Lewis in the DRS zone. I believe this happened twice. If Rosberg just used his head a bit he should have waited to pass Lewis on the DRS zone and if he was really much faster than Lewis, would have pulled away. But because they are so closely matched in pace, he couldn't pass Lewis, hence the call to Ross. So, if you really used your anti-Lewis noggins, albeit miniscule, you would notice that the only time drivers call their pits to get their teammate out of the way is when they can't pass them during the race. Exactly what Vettel did hafway thru the race when he couldn't pass Webber and Alonso in Germany 2010.
