Lotus got it spot on in Australia, but here I'm afraid they got the wrong setup for this race by far. If Lotus gets their setup right for china, I'm sure he'll be right up there once again.

They certainly got something wrong since Kimi was the fastest driver in both wet and dry conditions on Friday, and could not stay on track on Saturday and Sunday. He also lacked the final speed in the dry conditions on Sunday to overtake even withe the DRS activated.

I think he said he took some front wing damage early on in the race which may have compromised his overtaking. Regardless, something was changed on that car after Friday and it was not the correct decision.

Kimi doesn't make excuses. If the setup went wrong (driver to blame here, as well) and he lost some front wing, I believe it and am willing to take this all in stride, as he does. If only other drivers talked like him on a regular basis, probably nobody would be accused of whining and excuse-making after a genuinely challenging weekend.

It had been hard race on Kimi. Finnish journalist told that kimi couldnt hold a waterbottle after the race, he had zero grip strenght.

And Kimi himself had said that the car "consumed"/ate more and more downforce as the race continued. He also said, because there wasnt downforce he could not get speed and thats why he had hard time passing anybody. It could clearly seen even on tv that the car had very little downforce.
