I don't think that Brawn and Horner realize how much damage that they are doing to the sport by orchestrating the results and having gloomy drivers on the podium. You would think that they would have known better after the fallout from Ferrari in Austria several years ago.

So there is no number one ane two in Mercedes but faster guy was not allowed to pass slower guy...

Its clears as a day that Hamilton is number one in that team and they wanted him on the podium because of hes status in F1 sircus is far beond Rosberg. Its all about marketing boys and girls...

apparently board merc members were unhappy, Nikki Lauda was unhappy, Toto the Wolf (who may have been with the team in Malaysia) was unhappy, yet he didn't challenge the call from Ross Brawn, maybe Ross knows what they don't want the rest of us to know

Not a particular fan of Hamilton (although accept he is a very fast driver) but the fact is if they were allowed to race - and there was enough fuel for them to do so until the end of the race I believe Hamilton would still have crossed the line first irrespective of whether or not Rosberg's car was faster. Stands to reason if Hamilton had to turn the wick down that Rosberg would close up behind him and would use up less fuel as being in his slip stream.

Be that as it is, whether there is a number one driver or not is irrelevant at such an early stage of the F1 season. In essence Rosberg should have been allowed to pass and on reflection Lewis knows it. Why he didn't let him pass is anyone's guess. I suppose we could argue that due to all drivers competitive nature they would never let someone by without fighting for it.

Pure BS. LH is the no.1 driver and he was a sitting duck when Nico was trailing him. Nico could have easily passed LH without much fuss with min impact on tyres and fuel.

Nico - "remember this one guys". Sorry Nico, Its already forgortten.

I'm sorry I don't believe that for one min. Last year during the contract talks he must of said to merc that to challenge Alonso who has the whole team backing him I need the same to compete against him.

Shamarone, I thought it was obvious, I'm referring to Lewis and his mind set. After all he said it himself on the podium it should be Nico up here. Try to read the post in the context of what I said, in which case it becomes blatantly obvious.
