F1 » Villeneuve: Vettel's actions deliberate and stupid

Jacques Villeneuve: The team give you the contract and pay and so you do what they want you to do. It is very simple. Ignoring is just plain wrong.

jacques appears to be the only driver or ex driver to really comment on this. but jacques has a reason to remember

if memory serves me right, the gv /dp problem was a personal agreement, and nothing to do with the team. and when pironi was injured and lost the wdc, enzo actually had a replica of the wdc trophy made, and presented to didier as the "real wdc".

All this hate on Vettel for ignoring team orders from a guy who has recent history of issuing 'ignored' team orders, now telling us that “If Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton had been in that position they'd have done the same, if Mark Webber had been in that position we've seen him do the same.' . . . Maybe in teams where he is the one giving the orders.

DP didn't pass GV on merit. The same situation here. Team ordered them to hold stations. DP deliberately ignored team orders and passed GV more than once. GV didn' t expect to battle with his own team mate against team orders.

I was blaming Vettel on the saga, until JV started to comment. Than suddenly I reverted to opposite. I started to think that Vettel was maybe right. Because what I know about JV is that he's totally a useless guy with totally rubbish comments. I can't stand by sharing the same thinking way with him.. + Briatore :)

I feel sorry for JV he wanted to be like his father but he don,t have what it takes he had a team build around him and yet still he was a failure so we can expect anything from him what SV have he wanted but was not able to accomplished go rest yourself JV good riddance from F1 to you.

jv might not be the most charismatic driver, but the jibes at him "being useless", " achieved nothing" are pretty low. he might not have been as good as his dad, but he DID win a wdc, and also did at least try to get a new team going.
