F1 » Villeneuve: Vettel's actions deliberate and stupid

Jacques Villeneuve: The team give you the contract and pay and so you do what they want you to do. It is very simple. Ignoring is just plain wrong.

Vettel has really disadvantaged himself by his actions with his team mate. And Marko can only prop Vettel up on the sidelines, he can cover up the lies but the points needed for the WDC are gained on the track. Suck it in Vettel

Most of the drivers I know who I have discussed this with
think the politcial angle ruins Red Bull, and no matter what is said, Seb gets more of his fair share of being the real no 1. Mark is doing a good job since the playing field is not a s level as it is described, inc having the Mole Marko ready to pounce should the management fail to er...police the scene in the right,,,order.!
They will have another crash if the same scenarios play out, and Jacques is right about Sebs actions.....and Jacques knows all about Politics too!!

Call me crazy but I think the situation here is that Jacques happens to be a former F1 and CART world champion and Indy 500 winner, which happens to make him one of the most successful racers of all time. As such the media often goes to him for comments and/or interviews. It's hardly like he's putting out press releases trying to impose his views in every magazine and website there is - he just happens to be a REAL expert with plenty of first hand experience. If he is not placed to make comments about F1, then just who is?

Also, I think what he's referring to when he talks about the problems after the incident with Gilles and Pironi isn't necessarily that this was the cause of Gilles' death. I think he means that this caused so much tension and bad blood within the team, and with Gilles passing away shortly after there was no way to make amends. It had a huge effect not only on Pironi but on the whole team, on the whole of F1 even.

i can believe that some people actually love to take orders, maybe you should go to F1 and follow orders and bring more excitement to races,
There is 20 laps to go nothing will change because i heard it on the team radio., i have better idea the teams from opposites factories should make a deal before the race and so you will know from the start of the race who finishes where. that would be the best strategy

Its the teams fault. Webber will never be WDC. He doesn't have what it takes - he's proven it. The only way the team wins the WDC - and it does matter to them - its not just about the constructors trophy - is with the kid. They should clearly make their roles known to both drivers - at least in house. If Webber doesn't like it, he can try his luck elsewhere. Like it or not, RBR Wouldn't be RBR without Vettel. They wouldn't have the their constructors championships and they wouldn't have their WDC's either. For the good of the 'Team' the smart move is make everyone's role clear and fight to one purpose. This kind of thing shouldn't be a part of any drivers thought process on track or off. Unless of course there are no 'team orders'.
