Lotus seeks to improve its qualifying performance when the F1 season resumes in China

Kimi qualified seventh in Sepang based on performance. Grid penalty should not be accounted for that. So he repeated the best quali performance of this year. Also surprised to see that they could "work" on car after qualifying. Did they have some issues that they needed to work on it otherwise the cars should not be worked between quali and race. They had such a good car in FP1 and FP2, what happened on Saturday? Yes grid position is important, Kimi's start in Australia helped a lot to achieve the win. Had he been stuck behind other slower cars, his Aus performance would have been similar to Mal. The same goes other way round too - he could have fought for win if he had been higher up the grid after the start. Hopefully they will have a fast one in the coming races.
