Felipe Massa currently sits above Ferrari team-mate Fernando Alonso in the F1 standings, but will he be able to sustain the challenge?

Its all premature, 1 DNF for Alonso and all of a sudden Massa will beat Alonso? Massa can fight for the championship? Look at it this way, Massa was leading the championship after Malaysia 2010, not much came oc it and not much will come of it this year either.

I have always rooted for Massa since the last few seasons Schumacher had at Ferrari. MAssa was the only Ferrari teammate that beat Schumacher straight up. Yes, Rubens did it like twice?? Massa's loss of the championship followed by is head injury set him back. It takes years to fully recover from serious head injury. Glad to see him driving well. We just need to see Webber pick up his game, and this seacon could be the year of the #2's!!

Not with Alonso on the other car. totally agree with spaghetti eddie on that. Maybe if Massa can beat the odds on what ever team orders Alonso dishes out. He has a chance of winning the WDC.

Alonso could easily have picked up a few points at Malaysia if they had only pitted him with the front wing- that was just stupid.

Then again, Massa has had his fair share of bad luck over the years. A happy Massa is as quick as Alonso I think.

If Massa is well ahead after a few races Ferrari would be mugs not to back him. But otherwise I'd expect Ferrari management to continue to back Alonso.

I very much doubt Ferrari would put up with an ambiguous situation like that at Red Bull.
