Good news! Emo had a relative compete in F1 in the 90's (Christian Fittipaldi) but he never found a competitive seat available and turned his attentions elsewhere. I recently read an interview where Barrichello says that Christian was his hardest opponent throughout his entire career... that can't be a bad thing coming from a guy with over 300 F1 starts!

Christian Fittipaldi was to Emerson Fittipaldi what Bruno Senna is to Ayrton...a decent driver but nowhere near the talents their uncles were. Barrichello is just talking him up a bit to score some extra points with Brasilian fans (in fact that racing series he's competing in this year, doesn't Christian still drive there as well on occassion?)...

As for the younger generation, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But if he was really well funded I think he would have entered another feeder class. If this F4 championship is related to the less than impressive F2 championship I don't think there's much to win for him there...even if he actually wins on track. Probably just a year of getting the feet wet, getting used to living and racing in Europe with an eye on more serious championships in the future.

Christian Fittipaldi will forever stay in the history of F1as being the guy who once crossed the finish line doing a back flip at Monza in 1993 with his white Minardi.
