Hes fast and the car seems to be fast compared to Caterham, but we dont know how fast he is until he has team-mate how has even some relative pace.

I really don't get all this "beat your team mate first to see how fast you are" rubbish. You don't need Max Chilton to perform to know how fast Bianchi is.

How fast is Bianchi? Faster than a Caterham, almost as fast as a Torro Rosso and over one lap was a couple tenths off Vettel.

Marussia's championship point is in this guy's hands...

It is plain to see that he is the best new talent F1 has secured for a few years, since Hulkenberg in 2010. Marussia, truly, got lucky after dumping Glock.

It will be good to see a back marker actually impressing on race weekends, this season.

Beating Caterham doesent tell us anything, their car is much slower than Marussia. Beating Chilton doesent tell us anything because he is to slow. Being couple of tenths from Vettel doesent tell us anything, Riciardo was faster on the test than Vettel before he went to Toro Rosso. Being close to Toro Rosso tells us nothing, it a different car than Marussia. Only thing that tels us anything is beatin your teammate because hes on the SAME machine you are. But sadly in this case with Marussia we dont really know how fast Bianchi is. I think one day he will ride Ferrari but before that day a want to see compete in same garage with fast teammate, and i believe that is something what Ferrari bosses want to see to.

It's hard to tell only far he could go after only two races. But so far he showed he has pace (11th best lap in Australia, and 14th best lap in Malaysia). If he keep up performing like that he'll definitely get an opportunity in a better team in the future. I think that Sauber, with a Ferrari engine could be good step forward for him next year.

Of course we can already say he is fast in an F1 car. Chilton may not be the biggest talent ever but Bianchi beats the guy by a country mile. I'm really impressed by Bianchi's pace. I didn't rate him that highly before because despite also showing pace in junior formulae he was ALWAYS getting involved in incidents and also, despite always being touted as a championship candidate, he never managed to actually to clincg one after Euroseries F3 (at ASM, which doesn't count, although he was a lot faster than Bottas at the time as well).

However if he can bring this kinda pace into a topteam you don't even need to be a great wheel-to-wheel racer in F1, you can just start on pole and run away. I changed my opinion greatly on him even if I realise it's only been 2 races...

Being in a backmarker team with no real talented team mate and rivals is making him look much better then he really is, yes i think he is talented but being in the back is different then being in the midfield, where there is pressure to score points and your constantly battling all race for them.

till we see him in this area of the grid its still speculation but he definitely deserves the chance to get there.
