Pic is quite good as a driver, however vdG is not the best driver out there and I won't be surprised if he loses his seat in the middle of the season. I think that not having Heikki in the race seat has cost Caterham as they need an experienced and good driver who can help the team develop.

Oddly their junior careers were equivalent, although vdG was karting WDC in '02 which is no mean feat. Early days yet but I agree we'll prob see Heikki in the seat this year, if only to sort the car. Clearly Caterham have significant issues and they don't seem to have developed well over the last 3 years with Gascoyne at the helm.

Van der Garde really needs to up his game, altough I'm delighted we finally have a dutch driver again. I'm a bit dissapointed that it had to be VdG, if he doesn't start matching or bettering Pic he might not even make it to the end of the season. He says he suffers from massive oversteer and that the first upgrades only come in Catalunya. Some times i wonder why caterham doesnt make any progress, they seem to be going backwards
