F1 » Conspiracy theories ‘complete rubbish’ insists Horner

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has once again slammed suggestions that RBR may be working against Mark Webber.

Why did Red Bull think it was necessary to talk to the media about this? What was their motive? It seems to be rather like when you catch your child being naughty and something is broken by them. What is their first cry?
"I didn't do it!"
Rather like Red Bull now saying, "we didn't do it."
Why deny it when you have not been accused.

"Why did Red Bull think it was necessary to talk to the media about this?"

The media asked the question at a press conference. The media have been pushing this same odure for several years now with respect to Webber and Red Bull. Many in the media claimed that RB "favored" Vettel in 2010 - by not ordering him to finish behind Mark in the last few races. That's a novel definition of favoritism.

They HAVE been accused, repeatedly, for a long time. You're another "F1 fan" whose knowledge of F1 could be written on the back of a postage stamp.

"Redbull have spent massively on getting Vettel to F1, and thats why MW is treated as a number two behind the scenes."

Right - it can't have anything to do with Seb destroying Mark every single year they've raced on the same team. He even beat Mark when he was in a Torro Rosso!

"Webbers blew the doors off Seb this weekend in all practice sessions"

Practice sessions are utterly meaningless. Seb rarely bothers to go fast in FP1-3. I'm sure you could find many practice sessions over the last few years where MW looked faster than SV.

There's an easy way to quell suggestions of a conspiracy - Give Webber a car that gets off the line properly and can get through qualifying and the race. It's that simple, yet for some reason Red Bull can't manage it consistently for Webber.

Exactly custard, this isn't about conspiracies, its about tolerating negligence. Some people might refer to that as a conspiracy of silence or 'go with the flow', but its negligence either way you cut it.
