Let the numbers talk
you should be smart enough to see who is more skilled at overtaking

Alonso : Avg Start-Posiotion 7.0
Avg Finish-Position 6.7

Vettel: Avg Start-Posiotion 5.4
Avg Finish-Position 7.0

Raikkonen : Avg Start-Posiotion 6.5

Numbers do not say the "whole" truth... Just an important but not decisive piece of it... These numbers are determined-compromised by drivers' raw speed (which means better grid position most of the times), by cars' ability over a lap (pretty much the same or worse grid positions), by successful or not team strategy and by cars' ability during a race... There are few more factors that give us these numbers... So, let's see what is to come from a campaign that promises too much, no matter what our preferences are and with only bad point being the big tyre influence... Even that is an interesting point, watching teams and drivers try to "overtake" it but obviously minimise a bit one of the main F1's characteristics that is pure, best possible speed from car's-driver's combination...

(sorry for my "bad" english... it's been a long time since I speak or write for last time...)

@PDM: Some cars/drivers are good for quali while others are good in race. That difference is reflected in numbers of Alonso (race-strong) and Hamilton (quali-strong). The other two fall somewhere in between (Kimi a bit more towards race where as Vettel a bit more towards quali). So your comparison only shows the relative performance between the two formats and nothing more - definitely not who is best driver overall etc.
