Ah, so NOW you read it. Good for you. Of course the power difference has something to do with tire wear, even as minute as 15 hp. Btw, everything in f1 is about the "minute amount". We're dealing with 1/100th of a second here after all and you can't be any more minute than that.

I quote " i only put in that "stat" to wind them up!". Agitate much?

topdog. i had always read the thread. had you? it is about work on the merc!
and if you believe that it is the 15bhp that is causing handling problems and wear, think again. force india use the same engine and can do the race with fewer stops. it is the mechanical grip, suspension set up that is the problem. merc have been playing around with fric for two years, so maybe that is at the root cause of their problem? by putting extra pressure into the front to raise it, it also has an equal and opposite effect in that it increases the load on the tyres. also, the manner in which a car is driven also affects the tyres.

It just means that Force India was able to build a car that's easier on the tires despite Merc's engine power. This is what Merc should have done.

the artist. did you not learn to READ. lulu finished three races and has 40 points. nico finished one race and has 12 points. ergo, what i said is factually correct. but i used it to show that stats mean nothing

@ richard, just need to touch base with you,

"lulu finished three races and has 40 points. nico finished one race and has 12 points. ergo, what i said is factually correct. but i used it to show that stats mean nothing"
I don't mean to be picky but you've just said that stats mean nothing but the other day on a thread you made a big deal about Nico having a better record than LH cos he won a race for Merc which LH hasn't although currently LH has more points so far this season ?!! using your analogy would you be saying that IF LH were to get treble the points as Nico at the end of the season but doesn't win a race would you still consider that Nico has been more successful !!!! even though Nico won LAST YEAR

The only thing factually correct about your post is that you MADE A MISTAKE in calling it an AVERAGE. Most people know that in order to get an average, you need at least two variables to get a result. Nico only finished 1 race, therefore, it is impossible to deduce an average from this one variable. So where did you go to school again?

senna. go back to my comment. a poster sad that lulu had got more out of the merc than nico had. and i quoted an indisputable FACT (not a stat), that nico had actually won with the car and lulu hadnt. therefore the comment that nico had not gotten more was totally incorrect.

tdog. i realise that you are a poster who has probably used differing names and just are trying to wind me up, so i will not even humour you with a response, as you cannot even spot a tongue in cheek remark. sad.
