Red Bull just want Kimi because he finishes races, doesn't take any stupid risks and hardly ever has contact with any one. Kimi will just rack up the points for Red Bull and they'd still expect Vettel to be the number One. I doubt they'll be able to keep Vettel forever though, people wont fully respect Vettel until he dominates in another team.

Kimi though has never not been a top points scorer, even in 2008 when he had an off year he secured the constructors with Massa, finishing 3rd in the Championship. Kimi is a sure thing, he will never let the team down in terms of scoring points.

It's rare to find a driver like that, which makes him a great driver to have.

For me though Kimi Easily was the best Driver in 2003 and 2005, sadly he just had too many failures and grid penalties in a time you couldn't overtake as much.

"people wont fully respect Vettel until he dominates in another team."

And yet people "fully respect" Alonso though he has never dominated in any team except Renault. And people "fully respect" Hamilton even though he has never dominated, full stop. Funny how that works.

miffy, vettel "dominated" when he was in str. and when he drove for bmw, didnt he get one of their best results at that time. and then again, when he was in formula bmw (where all cars are identical, didnt he dominate there as well. a far far better record than lulu, AND at a younger age.

back to the topic. i think that kimi would get on fine with seb, after all, they are the best of mates. i could see them trading first and seconds all season.

It will be a godsend if RB can get Kimi to partner SV. Kimi doesn't whine and moan and just gets on with the business. He drives hard but fair and will get tons of points for the team. Rivalry between SV and KR will be strong but healthy unlike Alonso and Hamilton who just could not get on with each other.

Is this the twilight zone ? It would be up to Raikkonen to prove he can keep up with Vettel and not the other way around. Raikkonen at 34 is no spring chicken and got beaten up by former teammates Heidfeld, Coulthard and Massa before. Right now he gets all updates 6 months before Grosjean is even informed about them and last i checked he has had 4 years in a Newey designed car already. They might be friends off the track but Vettel would make sure he statuates an example with him every race sunday. How good is Raikkonen and the Lotus really, that is the question.
