F1 » F1 2013 POLL: Who turned up the heat in Bahrain?

Sebastian Vettel may have taken his second victory of the 2013 F1 season in Bahrain, but was the German's cruise to the flag the best performance of the grand prix?

You would not expect anything less from Vettel or Red Bull, Ferrari were very disappointing considering their budget, the best all round drivers and team were Lotus, when you consider their resources.

Early days but Vettel looks good for his fourth successive championship, very boring I think but until the tyres are sorted out to everybody's agreement it's more a lottery than a race and it looks as if Redbull have found the formula once again.

Its probably just as well all the new generation circuits have tarmac run off areas. If they didn't and still had kitty litter, Vettel and others would have been well beached. They maybe don't gain places because the rules say they can't, but being so aggresive and using the run offs as an escape route when it doesn't work isn't all that good. Vettel benefitted with that a few times at the start. Pity about Ferrari, but I reckon if they sort out their small problems quickly enough, they'll give RB a strong run for their money. Raikonnen will be the one to watch.

Vettel was awesome! Took the fight to Alonso when the Ferrari was still without woes .. and won it .. The Lotus were great but Paul daRista was on FIRE!! Great drive by Perez too.

PEREZ..... Great actual RACING wheel to wheel. Thats what we want to see,not a strategy with cars not actually racing eachother at same point on track. They're all in different individual races due to their different strategies.
The Red Bull is easily the best package. Webber, great bloke though he is,is not fast enough to challenge Vettel. Vettel is good but has found himself in the unique position at the beginning of his career of finding himself by chance in THE best car. Red Bull surprised everyone 4 years ago by suddenly becoming the best. Normally a driver has to work his way up to being in the best car. Vettel has been very lucky. Replace Webber with Ham or Alonso or even a few of the others and we'd see a whole different story. Christ, even I could win in that Red Bull rocket!

Vettel was good, but not great....with the kind of downforce that RB has, it was far too simple to retake 2nd from Alonso.

The move on Alonso may have looked great on TV, but it was the machinery that was really impressive. The kind of traction that RB genereated was phenomenal.

And like @Skooter rightly said, Vettel's over-eagerness and aggressiveness is constantly escaping the punishment it deserves, simple bcoz the newer tracks have so much run-off area, you dont need to 'race' anymore - just lunge onto the front car, if u succeed then u gain a position, if not dont worry u simply use the runoff area and try the dirty moves again!

white knight and skooter. you really dont like vettel, do you? i did not see him using the run offs, wheras others were off the track all the time. dont forget, if all four wheels are off the track, you can be penalised. so why wasnt ferdi penalised when he ran off the track?
