I've always taken Lulu's views very seriously, after all he is the "man" who called Red Bull "just a drinks company" and Vettel "a poor man's Nigel Mansell"

Oh yes, when Lulu talks we listen (then usually laugh at him)

meridabob - There are no sure things. Seb appears to have the opportunity to pull off #4 this year (although he isn't convinced himself of that), while this might be Kimi's year to add #2 to his resume. Alonso will also be a presence, while Hamilton is in the hunt (will require he and Merc exceed themselves). Hamilton should take a lesson from Vettel and focus on his own effort and not worry so much about being beating by the German yet again.

@ Kevin. Couldn't agree with you more in Hamilton focusing on his own bid rather than worrying about his rivals. Although the car can perform in qualifying it won't do squat if in the race it just loses the place it made during qualifying.

How many words, other than the headline did you people read? His comment was reasonable and harmless. As a matter of fact it wasn't far from vettels own view of the season.

They should put a rant section on crash so you can empty out there instead of littering every article with unrelated garbage.

Sometimes Lewis needs to say nothing and just race, he needs to realize that it is the Red Bulsl designers more so than Vettel that will determine if and how Vettel will walk away with the tittle again. And as far as i have seen Red Bull destroys the Mercs in race pace by 30 plus seconds, because the Red Bull team are the kings of pushing development throughout a season and Mercs will struggle to keep up with Newey and his guys. Mercs should have tried to get Rory Byrene out of retirement before Ferrari came knocking at his door again because im sure the Ferrari improvements are down to the only engineer that is in Newey's leauge.

I was numb when reading Hamilton's latest Vettel babble until you guys pointed out it was more of his obsession with the man who has destroyed his vision of himself as "the greatest driver of our era."
And yeah, now that Rory Byrne has "reared his ugly head" the rest of the field may be following the red cars again. Newey is a genius. But so is Byrne. It will be interesting next year.

Pretty harmless stuff from Lewis and he is probably right. Alonso wasnt too far off Vettels time in Q3 and Massa on the harder compound was almost as quick as Webber on the option. Bahrain is a track that has always suited Red Bull and with Alonsos DRS issues and Kimis start from 8. place it was a perfect storm for Vettel. Ferrari will be strong in Spain, Canada, UK, Germany, Hungary. But Vettel has a nice 30 points gap to Alonso already and after the summer break only Monza is clear Ferrari territory so even if Alonso can claw back the points deficit until the summer break judging by previous years it wont be enough. As for Lewis, he might win 2 or 3 races, but to be 2013 WDC you will have to win 6 or 7 races !
