Seb

Thats exactly the point John Watson was making - he said that you reach a point in your F1 career, when you are no longer prepared to do the "white knuckle, wheel-to-wheel style of racing"

Watson realised that himself when seeing Senna do things with the car which he realised he was not able to do, and realised it was time to quit.

@ Seb

Comparing Senna to 99.99% of all drivers is irrelevant as there are only a handful who could be listed close to his aggression/skill.

Jenson is just under a lot of pressure to prove that he can replace Lewis at McLaren. Unfortunately for him, this years car in not up to par and he just got beat by his younger teammate. Albeit was just one race, but now its put up or shut time. Jenson needs to get out of Lewis's shadow and he is failing to do so.

People are a bit over interpreting over th e radio transmission that was aired during the GP. I guess it's the name of the game in the media now with that relatively recent feature.

I think at the moment Jenson issued this message in the heat of the battle, he wondered what would be the next step after being bumped and if both Mac Larens would make it to the end.

He recognised after the race that Perez was faster on this one even if he must not be happy about that.

Dear Mr. Watson, It appears from your coments that you ave not noticed tha F1 has moved on since your day, as has th publicity. It is expected today of top drivers that they pass do interviews after each race and are asked of their opinion of any inidents that have invoed them. This is obviously what Jenson did. Also, since your day, he speeds at which they travel are much higher, and consequently potentialy much more angerou. You may or may not recall that one driver was bannedlast season for one race ue to his dangerous driving. Jenson has shown in the past that he is very much a team player and he does not want to see the team jepodised by inexperience.

This is not the first time Perez has driven people of track or has been deemed as risky for sport. If you are faster, you can use the two DRS zones to pass. No need to go that close near ur team mate. That is why they have DRS. Simply put Perez has zero thinking / strategy.
if Mclaren thought they found another Kimi / Lewis in their new young driver, they better correct themselves before they slip to 6th in the championship standings this year. (Redbull, ferrari, lotus, mercedes, force india)

Racing is racing. Give Perez credit for going for the higher step a a newby in the team. I recall a couple years back when Button (as the new boy) pushed Hamilton and they banged wheels (same race Webber & Vettel knocked each other off). Button was not exactly apologetic for his actions then. Suck it up and race buttercup.

Button is just upset, because he thought he would have no.1 status, and beat Perez. But in fact, Perez has shown that he can race Button, and can be faster than Button.

Problem Jenson? I think so.
