F1 » F1 prize money to be restricted to top ten


The team finishing last in the constructors' championship will no longer receive 'prize money', under a new directive guided by F1's flotation plans.

I don't particularly care for Bernie Ecclestone, but back in the seventies when Mo Nunn (No Munn) was running Team Ensign, Bernie came up with the money to keep Ensign going. This I have from a former Ensign team member. Maybe Bernie has had a change of heart about underfunded F1 teams. My feelings are, if you make the show you are entitled to some dough.

Formula1 needs to support the "small" teams! This is pretty insane for the Formula1 world, sad thing is, it isn't new. It is based on what colour/engine you run... Sad!
