@Richard

Didnt Jenson sign either a new contract or and extention to his contract recently, because this is his 4th year and he signed 3 years when he joined McLaren

@ richard, jb is in his fourth season with mclaren and the second year of a deal he signed during 2011 while hamilton was 'crashing all the time' (hamiltons words), to become mclarens highest paid employee.

The other thing is that they get even more money from sponsorship deals, etc. Can you imagine how much Fernando or Lewis actually makes in a year? It's ridiculous!

ferdi and andy. could well be right. time passes so quick....but there seems to be some moaning about buttons "salary" when, compared to lulu, he was actually performing better, and as both were wdcs, they warranted equal amounts. but when any contract is signed, there is no way that there could be any reduction from year to year.

Rosberg earning more than Massa and Webber is ridiculous!

And those moaning about the amount of money top drivers are making and how its a baffling waste when there are so many drivers blah blah.. ever thought of footballers, NBA players yada yada who get paid even more? And how many people in the world play those two sports? Yes, billions! They're paid that much for a reason, and the reason is, they are the best of the best at what they do and billions of dollars ride on the performance of these guys.

spacer. most reputable commentators equate nico and lulu, so maybe nico should also be on 20m?

and as for your rant "they're worth it", well THAT is highly debateable. add up all these top earners and then let us all know how many people that the total could save from starvation etc. ie, we see ads on tv , that £1 could save a child from death or blindness, so even $1.25m could save maybe 1m children.

I must say that I know which I would prefer to see!

Get real!. Compared to what that talentless pretty-boy Tom Cruise gets paid to play himself in the movies, these guys are all grossly underpaid. What risks does little Tom face .... sprained ankle from falling off Oprah's couch??? Every F1 driver is among the most talented in the world and facing danger on a regular basis. You might argue as to which driver should be paid most, but they are all deserving of top $$$.
