That would have been the ****iest decision ever, even by current F1 standards. I could understand it if he was handed 25kg of lead weight to ballast his car up - but a flag!! Get a grip FIA.

Great race by Fernando and well earned victory. However, had the race been the German GP, and Vettel taking the flag and being let off by the stewards, the journo universe and comments here would be lit up with calls for a beheading, fines, sanctions, accusations of cheating, disqualification, and screams of favoritism filling pages and pages. To avoid such potential future hysteria, the rule needs to be adjusted to reflect the reality that race winners have taken national flags for the victory lap for decades.
