cris. did it not occur to you that Ferrari will also benefit from the harder tyre? they had 4 stops in spain. with a harder tyre, they might have gotten away with 2 or maybe 1 stop. a better compound actually helps ALL the teams

if you sit up fully you would also see that Lotus and Ferrari got it right. And will now be penalized for doing so. And NOT everyone is complaining about the tire. The teams that destroy the tires got it WRONG and now will receive help.

Richard, it would be in Lotus and Ferrari's favor to leave the tire alone. They would be better off if the other teams continued to have problems instead of getting a helping hand for getting it wrong.

"For the interest of good racing"..
Good racing to RB is when SV starts from pole and disappear in horizon!

rob. have a read of the Pirelli statement. they state that rbr NEVER approached them to change the tyres. further, they say that the change is all to do with their image, and they had got it wrong.
they also blame track debris for the delaminations, so I presume that they do not envisage any debris on the track. a tyre should be capable of resisting such cuts, after all, last years tyres managed ok, as did tyres from other manufacturers in the past

I have had enough . I have been forcing myself to watch over the last few years as it is not as enjoyable as it was . Tyre changes at 9 laps is Ridiculous . To my mind RACING is to get from the start to the Finnish as fast as possible . This is not happening . Overtaking seems to be the difference between an open and closed wing . F1 is an embarrassment AGAIN , I thought that the world laughing at F1 previous USA debacle at indie in 2005 would stop any further tyre issues . i THOUGHT THE IDEA WAS TO CUT EXPENSES TO THE TEAMS !! , now they have to change the car to suit the tyres . Enough - enough - enough !

F1 is about beating the best. Not having the best beaten by some stupid tyre regulation. With DRS thrown in the mix the racing is fake enough already.
Let us get back to the proper world of Gp racing where everybody has to out think the World Champions with a team/design effort and not have it decided by useless rubber.
