rob. the tyres last year bear no relationship to the disintegrating tyres of this year. if you remember last year, the only team saying they could not get the tyres to work was merc, and since they started up, they have said the same. but last year, there was a distinct cliff but cars could manage it fairly well, so I had no problems with them. this year is totally different. have a look at all the informed comments from teams, drivers, etc. when tyres are going off after two laps, nobody with an interest in racing would condone that. Pirelli have said what fia mandated, and have also admitted that they failed. even Ferrari had to have four stops to try and preserve the tyres. (Alonso said he was driing at 90% to preserve tyres)
to me, that aint racing. if you like it, then you must disagree with Pirelli, fia, ecclestone et al. oh, and by the way, despite what you say, look at who is leading wdc and wcc. not too bad at managing their tyres, are they?

As usual @ Richard is pro Vettel / RedBull......and stating non factual stuff regarding who says what.
Pirelli will never admit that pressure from any one team will help change their minds, but its obvious this is the case.
The one saving grace might be that it will help Webber more than Vettel, and we can see more wheel to wheel Redbulls in fighting!!
I understand Coke might be entering as a team next season, backing the "new" team which is to be announced......The are rumoured to be called "the new seekers".

fuzzy. I would be delighted if you would point out what I said that was not factual. and then you go on to think you know more about hembery than hembery himself!!!! are you accusing hembery of lying?? the mind boggles.

@richard......my comments have about as much relevance
as yours I think. Cant remember quoting Hembery, what did I say?
If you want crap F1 RACES, then just keep changing the rules. The rules should not be affected by those who want to benefit from the changes, but as usual, the teams are making them fit their want. I think you'll find Mclaren will benefit quite a lot from a stronger tyre, and this will turn their car around, but not as much as your friends at RedBull. At least Ferrari have the strongest chance in one man making the difference, and this amy make a Championship worth watching......tell me where I am going wrong now please, I cant wait....

mr ploppy. read your comment "pirelli will never admit...." well, as all the statements are coming from hembrey, and he says that rbr never approached them, you are saying that he is lying. there are only one or two in f1 who have been exposed as telling lies, and hembrey is not one of them!

zib. wrong. but i do not like seeing any team being subjected to ill informed vitriol. if these comments were being made about mclaren, i ould be saying exactly the same. all these teams and drivers are providing a spectacle for us, and if they are unfairly comented upon, i have every right to defend them, but could i suggest that you stop attacking and enter the debate with some verifiable facts.

Simplicity seems to confuse supposedly intelligent minds no end, more so when there is an axe to grind.
Irrespective if the tyres are good or bad, if they last long or a short time, they are used by all teams at the same time and at the same track, some teams cannot make them work on their car design while some can, that clearly shows that those teams that cannot make the tyres work on their car they have a problem with their car design, is it right/just or fair on those teams that their car works well with these tyres to change the tyres because some other teams cannot make their car work with these tyres MR DIDI?.
It is not true that everybody is complaining about the tyres, those that can make them work on their cars are not complaining.
Persisting in sidling facts and repeating false claims by those complaining will only expose poor mentality/attitude to the sports.
