Franz Tost says both Toro Rosso drivers could do a job for Red Bull Racing in F1 - although Daniel Ricciardo currently has the edge over Jean-Eric Vergne

Liam, the point/idea of Toro Rosso is to prep their best driver, if good enough, for Infiniti Red Bull Racing. It is that simple. Yes Kimi would be a good shout but still, it almost defies the point and existance of Toro Rosso. It is the Red Bull Junior Team.

I would love to See Ricciardo in a Red Bull. He is a driver who clearly has raw speed and talent and like it says in the article, continues to improve each race. He is a refreshing change to the typical F1 driver and I believe is very marketable with his personality. Fits the Red Bull branding nicely.

of the two, vergne is thedriver with the most potential. faster but more erratic and has been unfortunate in suffering from others (including ricciardo) running into him.
really too early for either to be in the bull, so giving kimi a year could pave the way for v or r to prepare better for 2015?

@Chamby U r welcome :)

@Richard, craig & others
IMO all the drivers younger than Vettel barring Perez r useless & don't deserve to be in f1. Hulk is just a month younger than Seb, so I don't consider him younger than Seb Vettel.
Among the young drivers, Di Resta can b a good no.2, Pastor & RoGro r fast, Perez & Hulk r rated by fans and teams & ofcourse there r wdcs in Vettel & Hamilton. BTW Koba was a good no.2.

@Richard, oh dear.

How can you still be saying that JEV is the better of the two? Last year, you were adamant that JEV was the better race driver, despite being smashed by DR in quali (historically, the indicator of future potential). Now DR is beating JEV comprehensively in BOTH quali and the race. DR had many mechanical and race incidents last year, but these were apparently proof that he was a poorer race driver. So...

PLEASE EXPLAIN on what evidence you are basing your opinion he is the better.
