Pirelli is hoping to find a 'sportingly equitable' solution when it introduces its revised tyre specification at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The fact is that Pirelli has to develop the tires during the races as there is sufficient preseason testing due to the FIA and teams wishes. This is an engineering challenge of the highest degree and Pirelli is doing as well as can be expected in this situation. Mr. Hembrey's verbal acrobatics in hanging on this highwire of media attention is worthy of applause in itself!

alonso laid it on the line today. he said red bull has had it easy for years. and now they are screaming and kicking about tire changes. he basically told them to put on their big boy pants and get on with it.

nealio. Pirelli are continually testing their tyres and compounds on a Renault, so have plenty of testing opportunities. the problem is that it is a three old car lacking the downforce and coanda exhausts which heat the rear tyres, so the info thy obtain is not keeping pace with current f1 cars
