Vettel proved he cant overtake. Couldnt pass Hamilton at start then cruised the rest of the race, apart from at the end to put in the fastest lap. Is this really this stuff of a champion

and Alonso proved that he could be overtaken,
Did you watch the race? first overtake happaned in
26 th lap and Brundle Coulthard were suprised...
This is not a cicuit for overtake moves.
Except Perez and Grosjean and you saw the results

dean. what a silly comment! seb attempted to pass lulu on th first lap, but lulu appeared to move twice to block him. bu note that vettel was not passed by anyone, and finished higher than where he started, unlike a certain epic driver who fell sleep and managed to lose two places. vettel was just playing safe as nico was not a threat to his position. note that he was able to set ftd.
but everybody knows that passing at Monaco is practically impossible, but forgot to tell sergio, kimi and adrian

'but could not challenge Rosberg'
Vettel put in a lap at the end 2 seconds faster than anybody else! He could have easily challenged Rosberg
but passing on this course is nearly impossible. Why risk 18 points, Rosberg is not in the championship hunt whatsoever...

He had to get close enough before he could pass. He simply didn't have the pace to challenge Nico. Hamilton is not that easy to pass on a normal track let alone Monaco and good on Vettel for not doing something stupid (although the challenge on Hamilton was borderline). He walks away today having extended his points lead considerably. A huge success for him today in my opinion.

Vettel was great today. Truly professional. Why risk a situation that worked perfectly for him?

I understand ppl like to see the show, but if he had atacked Nico, crashed and lost 18 points, he'd be called stupid by the same guys who wanted so badly to see him overtake. C'mon...
