Race stewards in Monaco set to report to the FIA into Mercedes' Pirelli tyre test after hearing in Monte Carlo

kiwi. fia had given ok for testing, but in accordance with current rules, which precludes in season testing with a current car, and with further conditions, none of which were met. however merc and Pirelli went ahead and blatantly broke the rules. if fia knew about the test, was there an observer there as required for ANY LEGAL test?

I hope they don't dock the points from monaco as that wd be v unfair on Nico who has had to play 2nd fiddle to Lewis until recently.
I think a one race ban is enough, altho I expect the FIA to impose a mahoosive fine at the least

It is 'unlikely' that Merc will be docked championship points, as there is more to the story. However, Pirelli will be spoken down to, due the their handling of the situation, further digging is needed. I surmise a fine is heading Merc's way. Pirelli will not do this again! lol
