F1 » Decent points in Monaco for battling Button

Jenson Button said that his sixth place finish in Monaco this weekend showed the importance of hanging on to the bitter end no matter how bad it might look.

Button needs to stop whinging about Perez, he is well aware of Mclarens policy on allowing it's drivers to race each other. He can hardly expect Perez to stay behing him when he was clearly the faster of the two. Button was asleep on both occassions and somebody of his experience should have known given the nature of the track that somebody would at least try and get past him especially when they were running nose to tail.

Trouble is when your team mate is so erratic which Chico is, Jensen has a right to ask the team to calm him down, he is a liability, every driver must worry when he is around them that he will do something like he did to kimi.

Jenson realised that Perez pulled a good move on him but he asked the team to make Perez move out if the way because he passed him and Perez cut the corner to stay ahead!

Perez is so erratic that if I was in Jenson'a shoes I would be asking the team to calm him down. It's not only Jenson that Perez his pi$$ed off but also Mr. Alonso and especially the Iceman!

@oldtimer

What race are you talking about? Because surely it can't be Monaco 2013.

Perez was in front of Button when he got on the radio. It was actually Button who was faster at that point, hence Perez having to leave the circuit twice to prevent Button from overtaking him. Did you just expect Button to put two good moves on someone, team mate or not, and watch them not pay off because the other driver pulls illegal defending moves and just accept it?

Jenson was battling?! More like whining. So Jense complains that he cut the chicane while trying to pass him but had he not and continued the racing line surely they would've made contact. Instead he gets penalized because his own teammate whines to the team and in fact to the stewards. What a guy lol

Guys, this constant refrain of Button whingeing is becoming more pathetic by the race. Was Alonso whingeing when he complained at the end, or Kimi, when he suggested someone should smack Perez in the face?

Perez was out of order, end of! The guy didn't finish the race. What's there to praise for crying out loud?

Button didn't say anything to the team about the first move Perez made as it was a good one which caught Button napping. When he made a similar move on Perez, Button had every right to talk to the team about that as Perez left the track and had to give the place back, Jenson just wanted to get on with it!

Everyone's got Checo's number now. Whenever they race at Monaco and he's behind them, every driver will just cover the inside into the chicane!
