@rob

Got to agree with richard, Merc's actions appear to be underhand, that's been kind. Some might say cheating.

Regardless of like or dislike for Red Bull/Ferrari they have a very legitimate gripe and if Merc get of with a slap on the wrist I'll be surprised.

rob. I d agree that the dd was a gift, but don't forget, it was also given to two other teams at the same time. the tyre test was given to ONE team only, and that was the team that was suffering most. coincidence that it is brawn as well?????????

@Salan

Erm, Ferrari protested as well.

I don't think the argument is over the actual result, even without testing Rosberg could have won if Hamilton ran as blocker, problem is they got 1000 miles testing on a high aero circuit with this year's car & drivers & tyres. Not in the rules.

Saying it's Red Bull sour grapes is just stupid.

taz. I think that the protest was purely to bring this to the attention of fia etc. there was no way that the stewards would have had the power to affect the outcome of the race, due to a breach of the sporting code. that was always going to be the responsibility of fia, and there is talk of the matter being taken to the new tribunal to deliver verdict on such matters
