Further to the ramifications emerging from Sunday's accusations of an 'underhand' test, Mercedes could face sanctions for running during the annual testing hiatus.

i think Pirelli have done a pretty good job considering who they have had to work with. The FIA who apparently had no knowledge of a three day test at one of their venues, im still amazed that Red Bull and the others agreed to let Ferrari test after Bahrain.

this gets worse and worse or merc and Pirelli ! and I see that lauda has a bet on that merc will not be punished! mind you, its only a bet of $50, so he does not seem to be too sure!

So the test isn't secret because the other teams have to be responsible for noticiing that Mercedes isn't packing up as quickly as they were following the Barcelona race? If that's the best Brawn can come up with, I can't imagine the FIA are going to find that a plausible justification.

Paul Hembery as just said on Sky sports that he did consult other teams other than Mercedes but they declined Pirelli's offer

So cant see how testing was a secret or underhanded.

Well richard if that is the case then Pirelli are in a bit of trouble but what punishment for the sole supplier of tires to f1 as there do'n't seem to e another tire supplier in place?
