F1 » Hamilton: Vettel has got it easy

Lewis Hamilton has responded to Sebastian Vettel's jibe about 'two buses' leading in Monaco by claiming that the German doesn't know when he's got it good.

And life has been so tough on you Lulu, you had to hold down 3 jobs just to fund your early racing career, then you had to prove yourself worthy of a top F1 team by spending years in Minardi's and Super Aguri's....

Oh wait that's not quite right is it? McLaren funded your early career and supplied you with the best possible equipment, then in your first F1 season you were given a car that should have won the championship and every season since you've been given a race winning car. So before you call anyone lucky have a look at the huge good fortune that's come your way over the years. Spoiled brat.

Yes Lewis we no Vettel as had the best car for a few years now but i think you should just keep quiet after that error that cost Mercedes team some points and yourself 2nd place.

I do understand what Lewis is saying though. Vettel complains when other drivers were driving to a particular strategy which was slower than HE liked, but the Mercedes this year has been hopeless in the race.

Vettel's used to having one of if not the fastest cars during the race where he can just take off and not have any real strategy.

I think with this year's tyres, we'll have a better understanding of who are the better drivers, even if they don't have the fastest car. They now have to think a lot more.

Mercedes had to have a good strategy to win, which for this particular race worked.

I started to miss Lewis' stupid comments, luckely he's back! Must hurt like hell for the self proclaimed Next Gen Senna to be beaten by Nico in Monaco, where true talent tends to be important!

Lewis is right. Vettel has been gifted with a superior car these last 5 years and thanks his team by blatantly ignoring team directives. He should shut up and accept his inability to pass either Lewis or Nico, with a little bit of class instead of making sarcastic comments about buses. And btw Toypan, no one has been better supported and coddled over the years than Seb Vettel.

I disagree that Vettel has had the best car for years. It was in 2011, in 2010 Ferrari threw it away and last year it went to the last race.
I think Lewis is trying to cover up the fact that he messed up big time on sunday :-)

Hey Lewis, Vettel worked his way up from midfield cars before gaining a place with RB -- a team that, at that time, hasn't won a single race. His engineering team members credit him with being a great developer who improved the RB.

You, Lewis, are the only current driver on the grid who did not have to work your way up from midfield cars.
You drove a top car in your rookie year, courtesy of Ron Dennis. Now you finally know how all the other drivers who have had to drive years in midfield cars feel.
