Gotta love Eric's enthusiastic optimism. The car is okay, but hiding its .30s deficit behind pit strategy and Kimi's steady hand. The loyalty to train wreck Grosjean is admirably sad - he needs to go before he seriously hurts someone. This is a great team for Kimi, but not ultimately the one he will succeed with. As competitors get beyond the Pirelli deficit, they will erase Lotus's one trick pony act, and the real pace will put them in their actual 5th-6th place, and that will be from Kimi drawing the best from it.

I reckon Kimi will be in the Red bull next year. I think steady hand undervalues maybe slightly undervalues the contribution of Kimi. The team made a huge loss last year, it's not really been reported here.
