Sergio Perez: At the end of the day it [the incident with Kimi Raikkonen] happened. I'll move forward from that and I look forward to doing a great race here

@I felt Raikkonen ruined my race, he felt I ruined his race so it's very easy to make a comment straight away after the race

I'm sure he is getting pampered a lot by McLaren boffins, and beginning to kid himself. Fact is, he messed up couple of times on the race day but escaped without any punishment. I know he ended his race prematurely. It happened only due to his rash (not aggressive) driving. He should consider himself luck enough for not getting a grid penalty!

I'd count playing F1 chicken with Raikkonen and Alonso as quite stupid. Maybe it's because he's inexperienced but he seemed to think he could get away with that move all the time when it worked the once on Button, as if he didn't take into account other factors like wearing tyres and the driver in front not being his team mate.

Tesla, the stewards could not penalise Perez as the rules say that that the car attempting the overtake is considered as being alongside the car in front once the front wing is level with the rear wheels of the car in front and so the car in front is obliged to leave at least a cars wide space, if anything Kimi closed the door/turned in when he was not supposed to do so as per the rules.

Reg no. 20.4 uses the "the front wing is level with the rear wheels of the car infront" to define what constitutes a significant portion of the following car only in relationship to how far the leading car may maneuver during it's 1st defensive move. This doesn't apply to the leading car taking it's line turning into a corner.
A gray area to be sure. Historically, a car had not won the corner until it's front tires were level with the front tires of the leading car. In recent times, because of the increasing difficultly in passing for aerodynamic reasons this sound understanding has been relaxed.
Today with the high cockpit surrounds and tiny mirrors it is almost impossible for the drivers to see anything beside them. It's a paradox of safety regs but all the drivers know this is a problem.
