George - "Intent" is a subjective concept. Courts look only at the Letter of the Law - which is as it should be. If Mercedes & Pirelli lawyers can argue the case that the Letter was not broken, then they will not be penalised.

Like I said, a "loophole" is just an interpretation of a rule that hasn't been thought of before. Where's the dishonesty in that?

A further thought - Ross Brawn and the Mercedes team are no fools. You can bet that their legal team checked the interpretation of the rules BEFORE the test took place.
