F1 » Button: We were just out of luck this afternoon


The general concensus was that fate denied McLaren a seventh straight top ten start in the 2013 F1 season, as both Jenson Button and Sergio Perez encountered flags at just the wrong time in Q2 at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Mclaren keep saying they are improving the car but there is little sign of this in qualifying as the gap is similar to the start of the season, as for this particular error it is symptomatic of the general malaise within the team, it should not have happened but it did which says a lot about where they are in the scheme of things, I had hoped for better in the variable conditions but it appears
they can't even get that right now.
