I may not like Seb, but I do recognize he is a great driver. It is really difficult to win the WDC w/o the best car. I think people said the same thing when MS won with Ferrari "anyone could win in that car..." but RB didn't take the title, nor did Irvine, or Massa. While team politics play a part, I don't think anyone would take away that MS is a great driver for sure. Seb is in the right car at the right time. Regardless of what happens, he will always be a triple world champ, and if this year goes his way, a Quad world champ and no one can dispute that.

giveway. forget it! do you really believe that karthikeyan could have won in the rb? webber had all the support he needed especially when he was the team leader, yet was still unable to win the wdc. as others have said, if it was just the car, then webber would have been second every year (at least). the rb was only the best car for 2011, other than that year, vettel won the wdc on ability!

big john ( I doubt that you are the biggest), webber says that he was in talks with Ferrari, as was lulu, nico, narain etc etc (according to themselves). the simple fact is that everybody wants to drive for them. funny how di montezemelo denied that any offer was made to webber. if Ferrari want you, THEY will call, not listen to all the aspiring hopefuls.

I think it is a mistake by SV to sign a new contract with Red Bull, which will probably mean that he will remain with one team for his entire career.
If this proves to be the case SV will never be regarded as one of the greats, in my view, as he will have only one world championships with one team and not try his skills with other teams and different equipment.

"It is every F1 drivers aim to become a successful Ferrari driver, few get the chance and even fewer become successful but they all want it, don't let their protestations fool you"
And how do you know that? me thinks that's a bit preposterous! don't you?

The RBR is designed to suite Vettel's driving style, the car was design for corners, heavy braking, extremely high down force and traction out of corners, not straight line speed or high speed corners. I once read somewhere that Vettel could follow the same line on 10 consecutive in a row. Vettel takes the car through corners at a very high speed, his gear are normaly a short gear set up, this why Vettel hardly wins the high speed tracks like Monza, Silverstone, China or SpThe 2010 car was for Webber but choked in the end just like Lewis in 2007 and Alonso in 2010. Button cant win in a RBR car

Richard, how much longer are you going to use your own personal opinion as what you would call, "fact"? When was Mark ever team leader at RedBull? Mark has only ever had ONE car built for him, the Jaguar R4, which according to Mark, is the best car he's ever been given, a higher rated car in his eyes than any RBR car. That is saying something is it not? As for what you surmise about "Mark should finish second", I laugh and ask: have you been keeping tabs with formula1 for long? Seems not.

Sebastian Vettel, as a package, is no better than any other driver, as a package, on the grid. Romain Grosjean beat the finger hands down in the IRoC so he must be as good, however I would put money on Richard saying he could never win the WDC in a RedBull car...
